Online Mindfulness Meditation
Please consider yourself invited to my online mindfulness meditation group. We meet on Zoom most Thursdays from September to June from 5:00 – 6:30 pm PT. During our time together, we meditate, I offer a dhamma reflection and respond to questions, and we talk - although not necessarily in that order. Each session stands on its own, although there’s often a general theme that spans 8-12 sessions. Numbers fluctuate from week to week and are usually in the 15-25 people range.
Whether you are just starting to meditate or are an experienced practitioner, everyone is welcome.
This group is offered on a dana/donation basis. For more information about this Buddhist practice go here. The suggested dana range is $5 – 20 per session, however no-one will be turned away because of a lack of funds.
Please use the Contact Form to request further information and the Zoom link.
Summer Book Group
In July and August, I offer a weekly online summer book group, instead of online mindfulness meditation sessions. Each year, we read and discuss a book relevant to mindfulness meditation. In previous years, we have read and discussed “Awakening Joy: 10 Steps to Happiness” by James Baraz (Parallax Press, 2012), “Radical Acceptance: Embracing Your Life with the Heart of a Buddha” by Tara Brach (Random House, 2004), “Real Love: The Art of Mindful Connection” by Sharon Salzberg (Flatiron Books, 2017), and “The Five Invitations: Discovering What Death Can Teach Us About Living Fully” by Frank Ostaseski (Flatiron Books, 2017).
Information about the next Summer Book Group will be available in Spring, 2024.
