Online Mindfulness Meditation Group
Please consider this an invitation to come to my online mindfulness meditation group. We meet on Zoom most Thursdays from September to June each year from 5:00 – 6:15 pm PT. During our time together, we meditate, I offer a dhamma reflection and respond to questions, and we talk - although not necessarily in that order. Each session stands on its own, although there’s often a general theme that spans 8-12 sessions. Numbers fluctuate from week to week and are usually in the 15-25 people range.
This group is offered on a dana/donation basis. For more information about this Buddhist practice go here. The suggested dana range is $5 – 20 per session, however no-one will be turned away because of a lack of funds.
Please use the Contact Form to request further information and the Zoom link.
Summer Book Group
In July and August, I offer a summer book group, instead of mindfulness meditation sessions. Each year, we read and discuss a book relevant to mindfulness meditation. In previous years, we have read and discussed “Awakening Joy: 10 Steps to Happiness” by James Baraz (Parallax Press, 2012), “Radical Acceptance: Embracing Your Life with the Heart of a Buddha” by Tara Brach (Random House, 2004), “Real Love: The Art of Mindful Connection” by Sharon Salzberg (Flatiron Books, 2017), and “The Five Invitations: Discovering What Death Can Teach Us About Living Fully” by Frank Ostaseski (Flatiron Books, 2017).
Information about the 2024 Summer Book Group will be available in the Spring.

In Person Mindfulness Meditation Group
If you live on or near South Whidbey Island, or you are visiting, please come to our in person mindfulness meditation group. We meet on the second and fourth Mondays of each month from 5:00 – 6:15 pm PT upstairs at Healing Circles Langley. Normally, my colleague Diana Deering facilitates on the second Monday and I facilitate on the fourth one. We usually start with a 30 min silent meditation, followed by brief check ins and discussion. Sometimes I offer a short dhamma reflection. |
Donations to Healing Circles Langley are appreciated, and I offer this group on a dana/donation basis. For more information about this Buddhist practice go here. The suggested dana range is $5 – 20 per session, however no-ne will be turned away because of a lack of funds.
